The purpose of the Mountain Plains Regional Disaster Health Response System (MPRDHRS) is to enhance patient care coordination, improve situational awareness, and further develop specialized clinical care capabilities for specific hazards (e.g., burn events). The MPRDHRS will build on response networks already in place and combine efforts with Healthcare Coalitions to ensure local responders have access to specialty medical resources during a response. The project will build a regional and statewide coordination system and culminate in a large-scale functional exercise.
